Poor circulation (chronic venous insufficiency)
Diabetes complications (such as nerve or eye problems)

Swelling after an injury or surgery
Cirrhosis of the liver
Hay fever or other similar allergies

Preventing cancer
Promoting wound healing
Preventing dental cavities (dental caries)
Correcting poor night vision.

Scientific Evidence for Grape Seed Extract

A few studies suggest that grape seed extract may really work for treating poor circulation in the legs (a condition called chronic venous insufficiency). It may help relieve symptoms and might even reduce leg swelling. One small study also suggested taking grape seed extract might help relieve stress on the eyes due to glare.

Studies suggest that the supplement probably does not work for hay fever (it does not seem to reduce symptoms at all).

There is not enough scientific evidence to suggest that grape seed extract really works (or does not work) for other uses. More studies (especially large, high-quality studies) are necessary before the supplement can be recommended for such uses.
