Grape Seed Extract Drug Interactions

Interactions With Grape Seed Extract Explained

Theoretically, combining grape seed extract with medications that "thin" the blood may increase the risk of bleeding. At this time, it is not known how significant these interactions may be. Check with your healthcare provider before taking grape seed extract with any of these medications. This is probably most important for potent prescription anticoagulants or antiplatelet medications, such as heparin or warfarin, and less important for some other medications, such as NSAIDs.

It should be noted that this risk is entirely theoretical; many references do not even list any possible drug interactions for grape seed extract.
