Lucentis for Macular Degeneration

Age-related macular degeneration is a common eye disease related to aging. If you have been diagnosed with this condition, your healthcare provider may have recommended Lucentis® (ranibizumab). This drug is injected directly into the eye. It works by binding to a naturally occurring protein that encourages blood vessel growth and leakage, thereby slowing down and possibly even reversing the disease.
