Macular degeneration is an eye condition commonly associated with aging. There are two types of macular degeneration: wet and dry. The disease affects the sharp, central vision needed for activities such as reading and driving. Treatment depends on the type of macular degeneration a person has, but can include forms of therapy and laser surgery.
